The Casting Dock

’tis the season!

Maybe jumped the gun a little bit on that last one. But I’m holding out hope that the Nor’ Easter heading our way for Friday will be our last of the season. Then it’s on to bigger, BRIGHTER, and warmer things.

The seasons of spring are (slowly) creeping their way in, but they’re coming nonetheless. Yesssssssssss.

Oh spring…I can’t wait! We still have snow on the ground up here and are expecting another 6-12 on Friday! Ugh. We have kind of outgrown wedding season…or at least it’s a slow summer for us in that regard, and I’m SO jealous of all the incredible ice cream places you still get to enjoy on the North Shore…one of the things I miss most about the area (sad, but true!).

I sometimes change my mind when thinking about the seasons. Right now I am bullish on spring but bearish on summer.

Two things:

1) Look closely at that head-sized container of barbecue sauce folks. Yes, that number in front of the “oz.” is 80. Eighty ounces of barbecue sauce, and can you guess the price? Try it. Guess. Ready? $4.99. So, before you go mocking me for buying a giant jug of barbecue sauce that is so large it can only fit on one shelf in our refrigerator, think about that deal. Are you listening, Lis?

2) It is snowing (and sticking on the ground to the tune of 4-ish inches) today. It is April. Maybe we should have held off on this post for another month. Ugh.

Three things:

1) Love the pedicure, Lisa! BEAUTIFUL!

2) I WANT/NEED some Cherry Farm Ice Cream!

3) I can’t BELIEVE you are getting more snow today. It even made our news this morning. I am so sorry. It was only 39 degrees here this morning, but I will not complain. Obviously it could be worse.

where in the world did you find 80oz of pure goodness for $5??

The answer is always The Basket, Whit. That place is unreal. Granted you really have to mentally prepare for the experience, but the deals are legit. I stand by the purchase, Jer. I’m not mocking. I know it will be consumed. It kinda grosses me out to think about that but we use A LOT of bbq sauce.

We really do have the best ice cream places here. It’s dangerous.

Bry, I’d be bearish on summer too if I still lived in Texas. Come visit. You’ll love summer here.
