The Casting Dock

my favorite weekend of the year

Every summer I organize a “reunion” of sorts for my closest friends from college.

It’s easily my most highly anticipated weekend of the year.

A weekend chock-full of sports, games, quality conversation, abundant time outside, bountiful food, and most importantly, LAUGHTER…yeah, I eat it up every year. Even though we were (sadly) missing a whole host of people this year and happened to stumble upon the hottest weekend of the year in Maine (with highs allegedly reaching 102), we still had an absolute blast playing tennis, bocce, ladder ball & volleyball and enjoying quality time together at the beach and around the dinner table.

I am so thankful for this unique group of people. And to those of you who couldn’t come–we truly missed you!

Classically, I’m already looking forward to next year.

Next up: a weekend planned for parents of friends, right? Looks like a blast.

This just makes me jealous. I wish my group of friends was this dedicated every summer – we try, but so many of us have kids now so it’s tough…Your friends look awesome – glad you guys had fun!

Great group of people – great pictures – I think you maybe took more this past weekend then you took the whole time in Alaska/Seattle!! LOL! Glad you had a wonderful weekend.

Rayeanne–parents’ reunion sounds like a blast to me! :)

Lindsey–Glad to still have you as a reader after my little hiatus…I was looking at pictures of your house again today and felt that pesky jealousy as well…so it goes both ways, though for different things. :)

Mama Logan–we were missing a couple key photographers this weekend so my camera just got passed around…therefore the number of pictures is a little deceptive…I didn’t take probably half of them. :)
