The Casting Dock

bit by that pesky (european) travel bug again.

I think I have a problem.

My little mind is seemingly always racing with vacation ideas.

We have neither the time nor the money for the plethora of ideas that tap dance through my mind. Yet I can’t help but entertain them. My lack of control should give me more empathy for my kids who sometimes just can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves. We all have our impulse control issues.

Between weddings and family vacations, I have some sweet trips lined up for this summer which I am eagerly anticipating–southern California, Seattle, and Alaska. And yet where’s my head at the moment?
In those European clouds planning for next summer.

And I had the nerve to tell Jerry this weekend (as he was giving me the are-we-really-talking-about-vacations-again? eyes) that, I really haven’t fixated on trips in a while. Really. It’s been a while.

Ya, right.

Josh and I have been checking out the caribean and other vaca spots too hehe. I want to go to western Europe, or all of it, real bad. I think a trip could be in works for next year…. Remember that time we discussed taking one together, the four of us, I say we plan it (a cheap- backpacking style one) and start saving monthly for it :)

You will LOVE Seattle! K and I had a great time there last summer…

I second Mandy’s comment. England is always nice … PS: that picture of Cambridge is taken from the chapel tower of St. John’s college, of which I am a fellow and member (i.e., you’ve got an insider!).

And should you want a base in London, our guest room is the biggest room in the house. Just sayin’.

Jenna, doing the Alaska cruise thing with the Logan fam! The week long one. I’d love to get some tips…

Erica, I LOVE talking trips (obviously) so let’s do it! :)

Rayeanne, everything we’ve heard thus far has been nothing but positive so I’m confident that we’ll love it!!

Mandy and Seulgs–MISSION ACCOMPLISHED with this post. You two are the precise two Jerry and I were basing London/Cambridge on. There is a serious chance that you both will have house guests summer of 12! We’ve REALLY been wanting to get out there since y’all have been out there Seulgi, and now that Mandy (my best friend from high school) is moving to London this summer, there’s double the incentive!
